Crowdrise is free to use, it can help you send donations online for various fund-raising activities and advocacies.
To take advantage of such a good place to raise money, you'll have to sign up for an account as a first step. Then you can either start a fund-raising campaign, volunteer for some project, or get sponsors for your volunteer projects. You can take a choice whether you only want to donate money or be part of the volunteering team. There's no any limit on the number of fund raising campaigns and volunteer projects that you set up.
But there does stand a transaction fee every time you donate to the project or charity which you've set up. Crowdrise deducts 5 percent on donations made through it and a $1 transaction fee for donations under $25 or a $2.5 transaction fee for donations worth $25 and above.
Crowdrise does not only aim to help fundraisers and volunteers but is also an interesting way for those who share the same passion of helping others in need to bond, interact, share stories and visions, and make friends.
